Tom Eddy

Tom Eddy

Tom Eddy began working at his grandfather's funeral home in Steubenville, Ohio while still in high school. Following graduation from Steubenville High School in 1957 and Bowling Green State University in 1961, Tom spent the next eight years in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. In 1969, Tom was discharged from the Army and returned to civilian life to pursue a career in funeral service. 

Tom is married to LaVonne Sellers Eddy. LaVonne is a retired Certified Nurse Practitioner.   She also supports Tom in many ways in the operations of the funeral home.


Tom Eddy, Jr.

Tom Eddy, Jr.

Tom Eddy, Jr. completed his formal education, graduating from Peru High School, Clemson University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and in 1990 returned to Peru to join the family business. His is the fifth generation of his family to enter the funeral service profession.

Tom Jr. is married to Kristi Gebhart Eddy who is the Principal of Elmwood Primary Learning Center and they have three children; Maddy, Zoe and T. Fred (Tom III).


Warren Laird

Warren Laird

Warren Laird is the second generation of his family to enter the funeral service profession. His father, Gene Laird, purchased the funeral home in Amboy in 1923 and he and his wife operated it until 1967.

In 1967 Warren and Deloris Laird became the sole owners of the funeral home.


Linda K. Kirk

Linda K. Kirk

Secretary - Treasurer

Linda K. Kirk joined our staff in 1981 and currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the corporation.  Additionally she devotes her efforts to helping family and friends during their most difficult time. 


James C. Fox, Jr.

James C. Fox, Jr.

Jim graduated from Peru High School in 1975 and has been associated with the Eikenberry-Eddy & Laird-Eddy Funeral Homes intermittently for 45yrs.

He and his wife, Bonnie, are members of the First Baptist Church in Mexico, IN, and reside in Mexico.


Reddsy 'Noodle' Eddy

Reddsy "Noodle" Eddy

Reddsy Eddy, affectionally known as "Noodle" by her family, is the beloved dog of the Eddy's. She joined the family as a puppy in 2013. She spends her time riding around in the back of Tom Jr.'s truck and assisting him with all of his daily tasks, as she seldom misses a day of work. Her hobbies include walking in the park, sleeping on the couch, and looking cute.
