Lois Hilligoss, 93 of Peru, IN passed away at 9:42 P.M., Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru, IN. She was born in Douglassville, TX on November 24, 1921 the daughter of Dewitt and Willie Powell McCall. She married Charles Hilligoss on April 4, 1946 in Marshall, TX and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1996.

Lois was a cashier for more than 45 years at Scott’s Food Market and Five Star Grocery. She was a member of Gamma Nu Sorority. She truly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved quilting and tending to her back yard garden.

Lois is survived by her only child Lois Siple, Indianapolis, IN, a grandson Kraig Siple, of Indianapolis, IN, a granddaughter Jessica and her husband Christopher Clegg of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren Kyle, Zoe and Tyler Clegg; sisters Ruth Martin, Arlington, TX, Emmy Lou Dalton, Grapevine, TX, a brother Hugh and his wife Wilma McCall, Douglassville, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, brothers John McCall, Charles McCall and Roger McCall; sisters Marie Userey, Dorothy McDermott and Billie Sue Simmons.

A service celebrating the life of Lois Hilligoss will be held at 12:00 PM, on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN. Burial will be in the Ever Rest Cemetery with Pastor Richard Olson officiating. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Monday prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
