Vera A. Zinn, 94, of Peru, passed away at 6:04 PM, Thursday, November 6, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Stainville, Tennessee on March 22, 1931, the daughter of John M. and Maggie Bunch Daugherty. Vera married Robert Zinn on January 15, 1966 and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2004. Vera was a former member of the Church of God and valued her domestic life with family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved the beauty of nature, especially red carnations and the smell of lilac trees in her yard. Vera is survived by her children Fred (Gail) Daugherty of Knoxville, TN, Genevieve (Weldon) Baker of Peru, Frank (Linda) Zinn of Peru, and Lisa Zinn of Peru; grandchildren Jason (Tami) Baker, Ashley (Justin) Brown, Jennifer Zinn, Brandon (Chelsey) Zinn, and Kelvin Pierce; great-grandchildren Zach, Abbi, Hudson, Quillan, Pomelyn, Annie, Skylar, CJ, Grayson, Emily, Damian, Ethan and Aiden; great-great-grandchildren Avah, Wrenley, and Ensley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, her grandchildren Larry, Leahlynn, Bobby, and Patrick, and her siblings JC, Theo, and Perry. Per Vera’s wishes, there will be a private family visitation held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
