Velma M (Curry) Livingston

Velma M. Livingston, 91, of Peru passed away at 6:46 PM, Thursday March 18, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Sullivan, IN on April 5, 1929 the daughter of Miles Kemp and Laura Lucille Wickline Curry. Velma married Jack D. Livingston in Carlisle, IN on April 18, 1948 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 2018.

Velma was a 1947 graduate of Loogootee High School and a member of the French Lick United Methodist Church. She was employed as an assistant manager at AFCO Financial Service in Crown Point, IN retiring in 1982. Velma was an avid quilter and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by a son Alfred Brett Livingston and his wife Debi of Poplar Bluff, MO, a daughter Lucy Melson of Peru; grandchildren Jennifer Livingston, Shelly Rice and her husband Tim, Joshua Livingston, and Alyssa Bradley and her husband Jason; great grandchildren Jackson Rice, Alexis Bradley, Moriah Livingston, Georgia Rice, Mackenzie Livingston, and Isaiah Livingston and a sister-in-law Erma Curry of St. Joseph, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, her son-in-law Kim Melson, a brother Miles Curry Jr. and sisters Marjorie Butler and Wilma Riley.

Graveside services for Velma Livingston will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 with Pastor Kenny Cole officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to American Heart Association.
