Toni Gayle Kring (Mongosa), 74, of Peru passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in South Bend, IN on April 11, 1947 the daughter of Wayne and Barbee Richter Kring.
Toni was 1965 graduate of Peru High School and a home maker. She was born and raised in South Bend and had a special fondness for Lake Michigan. A sports enthusiast she was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was active in the Indiana Miami Nation of Indians.
Toni was selfless in her life, genuine in her interest and care for her family and the people around her. Her mission in life was her family and she enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in their activities.
She is survived by son Ralph Mongosa, Jr. and his wife Lindsay of Kokomo; daughters Rachelle Mongosa of Peru and Jodi Laycock of Peru; sister Drenea Banter of Peru; grandchildren Zackary (Jenna) Mongosa, Nate Mongosa, Emily (Jeron) Laycock, Erin Mongosa, Jada Laycock, Jonah Laycock, Gabriel Laycock and Benjamin Laycock and great grandchildren Kadence Mongosa, Mikayla Mongosa and Lukas Werner.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Toni Gayle Kring (Mongosa) will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN with Pastor Phil Troxell officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Miami Nation of Indians.
