Susie Maria Reed, 58, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 2:58 P.M., Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Ft. Wayne. She was born on December 18, 1965 in Henry County, the daughter of Marvin R. and Evalene (James) Reed. Susie was a 1984 graduate of North Miami High School and earned her associate degree at International Business College. Susie worked in the Allen County Building Dept. She was an avid reader, she especially relished suspense novels, Susie also enjoyed reading her Bible and devotion time. Susie loved to travel and take cruises, painting and drawing and baking. She cherished her cats and the companionship they provided. Surviving is her father, Marvin of Mexico, IN, a sister Debbie Faye (Patrick) Moore, Peru and a nephew Colton Patrick Moore. She was preceded by her mother, Evalene. A service celebrating the life of Susie M. Reed will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, with Pastor Kyle Schnitz officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Family and friends will gather from 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M., Thursday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Susie to the charity of your choice.
