Sonja H (Barron) Plunkett

Sonja H. Plunkett, 72, of Peru passed away at 5:00 AM on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on July 6, 1949 the daughter of Helmut and Alfrieda Barron. Sonja married Marvin Plunkett on December 10, 1966 and he survives.

Sonja was a loving wife, mother and oma (grandmother) who loved her daughters and grandchildren beyond measure. Her funny and vibrant personality always made her the life of the party. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband Marvin, Sonja is survived by her daughters Susanne Traux and her husband Norm of Logansport, IN and Tanya Ebert and her husband Timothy of Peru, IN and her  grandchildren Ryan Plunkett of Fr. Wayne, IN and Marley Watson (Cameron Bailey) of Peru.

Friends and family will gather from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru. A private interment will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
