Russell Lee Hatton, Sr.

Russell L. Hatton, Sr. 59, of Peru passed away at 6:07 AM, Friday, December 3, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne surrounded by his family. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 15, 1962 the son of Earl and Rosa Johnson Hatton. Russell married Julie K. Zehring on July 2, 2002 and she survives. He was a tow truck operator for Holland Towing. Russ loved camping with his buddies Randy White and Comer Webb and being outdoors. Russ thoroughly enjoyed everything about cars, especially being behind the wheel and watching Nascar. He was a hard working man, with a moto of ‘work hard, play harder’. Surviving in addition to his wife, Julie, is his son Russell L. Hatton, Jr. and daughter Rosa L. Hatton; brothers Robert (Cheryl) Hatton and Larry Hatton. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Russell would say to those who are mourning “Just be Happy, Happy, Happy!”
