Roseanna L Schofield

Roseanna L. (Steffey) Schofield, 78, of Peru, IN, passed away November 15, 2019 in Kokomo, IN. She was born December 30, 1940 in Bunker Hill, IN, the daughter of Darrald and Roberta Holcomb Steffey. She married Dennis Schofield on October 15, 1977 and he survives.

Roseanna graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1958. While in High School she played the clarinet in the band and was a majorette (baton twirler).She worked at Delco for ten years and at Square D. She was a member of the Moose Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW. Playing bingo, dancing and going to casinos were some of her favorite pastimes.

Surviving are her husband, Dennis; children Justina (Gerald) Guyer II of Peru and Kenneth Schofield of Lafayette, IN; five grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Rita Tanner of Florida, Relna (Edward) Kayser of Peru and Sharon Doolin of Bunker Hill; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Donna and Art Ruembler of Otterbein, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

Roseanna was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Arthur Chase, mother and father-in-law Audrey and Lloyd Schofield, grandson Austin Sterling Halbrook, brother Darrald Steffey, and sisters Dorothy Green, Delia Kraus and Dolly Spangler.

A Celebration of life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations maybe made  to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to  Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
