Ronald Shelton York, 63, of Russiaville, passed away at 4:42 P.M., Thursday, April 25, 2024. He was born in Peru, IN on January 7, 1961, the son of Sterling Shelton and Martha (Robinson) York. Ron married Kimberly Livengood on November 18, 1989 and she survives. Ron was a 1979 graduate of Oak Hill High School and retired from Chrysler as a Material Handler, after 28 years of service. Ron was an avid IU basketball fan, enjoyed Oak Hill football and had a long lived friendship with 4 of his buddies from high school, which they talked at least once a week. Surviving in addition to his wife Kim, are his children Jeremy Lennon and Jesse (Ashley) Lennon; grandchildren Jaynya, Taylor, Kalyssa, Cayson, Reese, Avery, Jadelyn and Ryder; great-granddaughter Evelyn and a brother Darrell (Susann) York. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Max E. (Tina) York and John York and sisters Marlene York and Ruth Rojas. Family and friends will gather from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., Saturday at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Amboy. A service celebrating the life of Ronald Shelton York will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Larid-Eddy Funeral Home, with Pastor Roy Jones officiating. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
