Roger Lynn Simbeck, 65, of Peru, passed away on November 20, 2024 at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born in Florence, Alabama, on March 9, 1959, the son of Charles and Carline (Jones) Simbeck. Roger was a US Air Force veteran and his military decorations include: the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Roger is survived by his son, Justin Simbeck and his girlfriend Breanna, a granddaughter Ivory, and children he raised Ashley Vest, Jessica (Cody) Hiles, Derrick Sparks, Verronica (Johnathan) Cook, and Eddy (Jessica) Wise, and siblings Ricky Simbeck, Donny Simbeck, Corkey Simbeck, Margie Simbeck-Connell, Brenda Vandygriff, Aggie Vickery, and Charles Simbeck Jr. Military graveside services with military honors provided by members of the Miami County Military Rites Unit will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Marion National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru.
