Robert Arthur Peters, 69, of Holiday, Florida passed away on November 14th after a long battle with cancer.
Robert was born on November 15th, 1950 to Robert K. Peters and Mary M. Peters in Peru, Indiana. He graduated from Peru High School in 1969.
After graduation, he went to work for Norfolk & Western Railroad, where he was employed as a brakeman and a conductor for over 20 years.
Upon retiring from the railroad, Robert started Peters Construction, Inc. in Peru, Indiana, offering remodeling and handyman services throughout North Central, Indiana.
Robert retired in Florida, enjoying the beaches, restaurants, and lifestyle. He continued to work on small projects and enjoyed working with his hands his whole life.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Robert K. Peters & Mary M. Peters (Blue), and his sister, Mary Ann Harris (Peters). He is survived by; his brother and wife, John M. & Evangelia Peters; his son, Shawn R. Peters; his son and wife, Chad A. & Amanda M. Peters; his grandson, Hayden J. Peters; his devoted partner Kim Hoover (Working), and countless friends and extended family.
A service and celebration of life will be held in Peru, IN with arrangements entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St. at a future date, to be announced when the Covid-19 Pandemic is under control.
