Robert E. Correll

Robert E. Correll, 89, of Peru, passed away at 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the Life Care Center of Rochester, IN. He was born in Peru, on December 6, 1931, the son of Ora and Goldie See Correll. Bob married Shirley Craig on December 29, 1956 and she survives. Bob was a retired Sheet Metal Operator at Bryan Steam Corp. He and his wife, Shirley raised Alpine dairy goats for more than 40 years. Their home sits on ten acres in rural Peru and they take great pride in maintaining the lawn and flowers on their homestead. Bob was a car enthusiast and he was particularly fond of the 50’s era. Surviving in addition to his wife, Shirley, is a granddaughter, Sarah Correll and her husband Florian Browne III of Jamestown, IN and a brother, Paul Correll and his wife Diane Evans of Mexico, IN, and a daughter-in-law Kelly Haupert of Macy, IN Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a son Daniel Correll and brothers, John and Terry Correll. A service celebrating the life of Robert E. Correll will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru with Pastor Rod Correll officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home. In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County 4H Scholarship Fund.
