Richard Hendricks Obituary

Richard L. Hendricks, 80, of Macy, IN. passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Ascension-St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. at 7:47 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2026. He was born in Peru, IN. on January 10, 1946, the son of Runa and Mildred Bockover Hendricks. Richard married Beth Ann (Kennedy) Floor in Gatlinburg, TN. On July 23, 2014, and she survives. Richard was a 1964 graduate of Peru High School and a US Army veteran; his military decorations include the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He is a retired Train Corridor Supervisor with the Union Pacific Railroad. An avid golfer, Richard enjoyed playing golf with his buddies at the Muni. He enjoyed boating and spending time on the lake, but most of all he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family. Richard was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family unconditionally. Surviving in addition to his wife Beth are sons Richard l. Hendricks, Jr. and his wife Lila of New York and Bradley J. Hendricks and his wife Karen of Chalmers, IN; grandchildren Angel L. Mojica, Jessica M. Homes, David M. Nevu, Bryon D. Nevu, Stephanie C. Hendricks, Richard Hendricks III, Jenna M. Hendricks, Celia J. Hahn, Jessika Kershner, Elizabeth Hendricks, Colin Hendricks, Gavin Hendricks, Alexander J. Hendricks, Isabelle J. Hendricks, Kaleb G. Hendricks; great-grandchildren Silas A. Mojica, Mason M Holmes, Tal J. Hahn, Inanna J. Hahn, Sophie Hendricks; step-children Josh Hendricks, Cory Hendricks, Corey Correll and his wife Suzie, Ryan Correll and his wife Karie, step-grandchildren Mason Correll, Brady Correll, Michael Correll, and Leah Correll; and a step-great-grandchild Miles Correll, and daughter-in-law Cara Hendricks. He was preceded in death by his parents, his children Lori LaMachone and Jeffery Hendricks, and his siblings Nancy S. Maggard and Cathy A. Mohr. Family and friends will gather from 12 NOON to 3:30 PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St, Peru. Military Honors will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit at 3:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Miami County Helping Hands.
