Rebecca L. Overman

Rebecca L. Overman, 41, of Indianapolis and formerly of Peru passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Marion, IN on September 11, 1981, the daughter of Randy and Donna (Carter) Overman. 

Rebecca graduated from Maconaquah High School in 2000 and graduated from Anderson University in 2004 earning her bachelor's degree in nursing. Always full of spirit, she was a vibrant cheerleader in both High School and College, which was a big part of her life. After graduation, she moved to Seattle, Washington and worked as a Pediatric registered nurse at Swedish hospital for 5 years. She then returned to her home state and worked for IU Health and Peyton Manning in various pediatric positions. Her final position was as a hospice case manager.

She was very selfless, compassionate and thoughtful and was willing to help anyone. She was always more interested in listening and talking about your life than her own. Rebecca was a member of Redeemer Church in Indianapolis and also attended Amboy Friends Church in her youth with her family. Rebecca was a devoted daughter, sister and friend and loved her family and friends wholeheartedly. She adored all of her nieces and nephews who will remember her legacy for the many traditions “Aunt Beek” started with them. 

Surviving in addition to her parents Randy and Donna Overman are her maternal grandparents Norman and Rowena Carter of Marion; siblings Zach Overman and his wife Stephanie, Aaron Overman and his wife Chelsea and Laura Presley and her husband Austin all of Peru; and her beloved nieces and nephews Aiden, Connor, Callie and Cameron Overman, Marshall, Kenzie, Mason and Cora Overman and Raegan and Reese Presley. 

A service celebrating the life of Rebecca L. Overman will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Amboy Friends Church, 110 E. Pennsylvania St., Amboy, IN with Pastor Randy Bargerstock officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Amboy Friends Church.
