Patricia J. (McDaniel) Smith

Patricia Jane Smith, 77, of North Grove, passed away at 9:43 A.M., Monday, December 28, 2020 at Howard Community, Kokomo. Pat was born in Hamtramck, MI on July 31, 1943, the daughter of Eugene G. McDaniel and Betty Jane Cook McDaniel. She married Harry Smith on June 3, 1967 and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2013. Surviving is a brother Roy (Laurie) McDaniel of Panama City, FL; a daughter Christine (Richard) Saylors of Converse; sons Charles (Brandi) Smith of Amboy and Harry (Darsci) Smith, of Amboy and several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, a son Mark Gaffney a daughter Deborah E. Bowland, a brother David McDaniel and a grandson Nicholas Smith. Family and friends will gather from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Amboy. It will be followed immediately by a service celebrating the life of Patricia J. Smith from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Randy Smoot officiating. Governmental restrictions require social distancing to be respected. The Service will also be live streamed on Facebook at Eddy Funeral Homes, Inc. Burial will be at Marion National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home to the Salvation Army.
