Pamela Shively, 66, of Monticello, passed away at 9:30 P.M., Saturday, February 15, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Health Care, Delphi, IN. She was born in Kokomo, IN, on March 21, 1958, the daughter of Donald M. and Betty (McManamaw) Montgomery. She married Steven Shively on November 25, 1978 and he survives. Pam attended Shilo Methodist Church and was a former member of the McGrawsville United Methodist Church. Her love of horses exhibited in her younger years of participation with Kokomo Saddle Club, Howard County 4-H Horse and Pony, AQHA Association and Quarter Horse Congress Pamela was active in the Kokomo Soapbox Derby Queen Court for 3 years and helped coach Little League in Wabash County. Earning her degree in Nursing from IU Kokomo, Pam worked at several nursing homes in Kokomo and Peru, spending a majority of her career at Miller’s Merry Manor, Peru working with Geriatrics patients where she met her future husband, a Pharmacist, Steven, as he was delivering medicine to the patients. Pam’s faith grew in unexpected ways after a car crash the whole family was in (May 1992) with injuries, several surgeries and taking several years to learn to walk again, Pam had to face changes, that she learned to call “Blessings” with the most important blessings – her family, friends and the amazing people she met on her journey to recovery. Surviving in addition to her husband, Steven, are children Virginia ( Ronald) Miller of Florida, Dustin Shively of Monticello, Sarah (Adam) Lawson of Noblesville and Jacob Shively of Indianapolis; a daughter-in-law Courtney Kaylor of Peru; a sister Sheri Montgomery of Rochester; grandchildren Cain, Gavin, Samuel, Brooke, Violet, Brittany, Kaitlynn, Robert, Bridgett, Elliana, Molly, Rowen and 4 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Pamela Shively will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru with Chaplain Jim Steffens officiating. Family and friends will gather from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., Saturday, prior to the service, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
