Pamela K (Longenecker) Emery

Pamela K. Emery, 78, of Peru, Indiana, left her earthly home peacefully on Monday, October 11, 2021 at her daughter’s residence in Springport, Indiana, surrounded by family who loved her dearly. She has ‘gone ahead of us’ with plans to continue much silliness and shenanigans in Glory with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“Pam” was born August 31, 1943, in Peru, Indiana, to Richard and Barbara (Boyer) Longenecker.  She graduated from Peru High School in 1961. She worked at Square D for a short time before starting her career as a clerk for the C&O railroad. As a railroad retiree, she possessed a wealth of railroad knowledge which made getting stuck by a train highly entertaining.  After spending much of her life in the Peru area, she more recently moved to the Muncie area.

Pam is survived by her children, Patty Branaman of Denver, CO, Randy Branaman of Peru, IN, Jerome Emery of Twelve Mile, IN, Karee (Branaman) Buffin (husband Tony) of Springport, IN, her grandchildren,  JayCe Solek, Kyrie Branaman, Alex Davidson, her sister Ronnie (husband Howard) Green, her brother Pete Longenecker, her loving aunt Pat Moore and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Her extended family was also important to her including Julie and Rob Schroder, Dale and Kim Emery, Gladys Maina and Simon Mungai.

Her parents and her sister Danielle (Longenecker) Pegg raced ahead of her to heaven and are reunited with her once again.

Funeral Services for Pam will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN with Chaplain Phil Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru. Family and Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Corinth United Methodist Church-Missions.

The Family would like to thank those who visited and comforted Pam in her final days and offer a special Thank You to the wonderful staff of Heart to Heart Hospice.
