Mildred (Dunbar) Stevens

Mildred “Millie” Stevens, 91, of Peru passed away at 12:55 AM, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor Peru. She was born in Wheatland, IN on December 26, 1929 the daughter of Charles and Myrtle Cassidy Dunbar. Millie married Glenster Stevens on September 24, 1949 and he preceded her in death on December 1, 1990.

Millie loved cardinals but the most important thing in her life was her family.

Surviving is her life partner William E. Reed of Peru; a son Glen (Joan) Stevens of Van Wert, OH; daughters Brenda Stevens and her fiancé Joe Heady of Lizton, IN and Sandie Frazier and her partner Dean Sheperd of Wabash, IN; eight grand-children, eight great grand-children and several great great grand-children.

In addition to her husband Glenster, Millie was preceded in death by her children Sharon and David; eight brothers and sisters; and daughter-in-law Cindy Bowman-Stevens.

A service celebrating the life of Mildred “Millie” Stevens will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru with Pastor Randy Smoot presiding. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, May 3 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
