Michelle Ray

Michelle Ray, 54, of Peru, went to meet her Lord and Savior at 6:04 A.M., Wednesday March 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Peru on July 20, 1966 the daughter of Norman and Catherine Bowman Ray. Michelle was a 1985 graduate of Peru High School. Family was very important to Michelle. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved her family unconditionally. Surviving are sons Jamey Hiles and his wife Sara of Kokomo and Zachary Hiles of Peru; a grandson Ryder Hiles; her father Norman Ray Sr. of Kewanna, IN; brothers Gene Ray and his wife Jannet of Kewanna, Norman Ray Jr. of Peru, and Tommy Ray and his wife Amanda of Kokomo; sisters Katherine Sellers of Peru, Mary Ray of Peru, Tonya Gregory and her husband Scott of Kokomo and Terri Ballengee of Peru, Tracey Hedrick and her husband Greg of Kansas and Tammy Collins and her husband Ronnie of Marion and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Catherine Ray and brother John Ray. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN. A service celebrating the life of Michelle Ray will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Zumwalt officiating.
