Melissa Shepherd

Melissa Shepherd, 48, of Peru, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. She was born in Rochester, IN on March 10, 1974, the daughter of Lloyd and Ellen Harts Shepherd. Melissa was a devoted mother and grandmother and she delighted in caring for her children and grandchildren. She had been employed as a veterinary assistant. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking but mostly spending time with her grandchildren. An animal lover, Melissa loved her dogs and cats. Melissa is survived by her children Morgan (Kolby) Ribble of Mexico, IN, Brendan (Melissa) Dodge of Culver, Madison (Jack) Wolfe of Peru and Kendell Music of Peru; grandchildren Willow and Maverick; sisters Stacy (J.D.) Heckathorn of Rochester and Kiley (Daryl) White of Indianapolis There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Arrangement have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru.
