Mary E. (Phifer) Warner

Mary E. Warner, 88, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:17 P.M., Friday, August 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Atlanta, IN on February 13, 1934, the daughter of Claude and Bonnie Hieght Phifer. Mary worked in housekeeping for King Crown Inn and Ramada Inn. Surviving is a son-in-law, Robert Gillespie; grandsons Christopher Gillespie, Jacob Gillespie, Nathan Gillespie and Christopher Zehring and great-grandchildren Hadley Gillespie, Declan Gillespie, Ryder Zehring, Gage Zehring and Vada Zehring.   Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Vickie Gillespie; two brothers and three sisters. A service celebrating the life of Mary E. Warner will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, with Pastor Randy Smoot officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 11:00 to 1:00 Friday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
