Mary J. (Teeter) Michaud

Mary J. Michaud, 76, of Peru, passed away at 5:45 P.M., Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at her residence. Mary was born in St. Louis, MO, on June 16, 1944, the daughter of Jesse and Fern (Wolf) Teeter. She married Henry “Mitch” Michaud on March 17, 1984 and he survives. Mary was a 1962 graduate of El Capitan High School. She worked at Walgreens as a bookkeeper, Cash Express and KoFabCo and Stampin’ Up Demonstrator. Mary was a member of the Embroidery Guild of America and the Let’s Make Cards Group. Mary spent her free time volunteering at the Scratching Post Cat Rescue. Surviving in addition to her husband, Mitch, are her children Mary Kathryn Watkins of Belhaven NC, Jon Eric Games of Houston, TX, Michelle (Derek) Jarrell of Houston, TX and Denise (Carter) Hendrix of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren Ashton Muccio, Eric Trinidad, Antonio Games, Dane Hendrix, Tehya Hendrix, Chance Hendrix and Collin Jarrell; a brother Earl Teeter and a sister Bonny Bell. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Toni and Terri. According to her wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Guardian Angel Hospice Foundation or the Scratching Post Cat Rescue. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru.
