Mary Cunningham Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Cunningham, 89, passed away at 9:00 A.M. at Aperion Estates in Peru. Mary was born in Peru on January 6, 1930, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Hay Swartz Sr. She married Jack Cunningham on December 9, 1977 and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Mary retired from Square D in 1988.

Surviving is a stepdaughter, Rebecca (Alan) Burkhardt; step-grandsons, David Burkhardt, Jon Burkhardt, and Joseph Cunningham; and a step-great grandson, Levi Cunningham. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Jack David Cunningham; a brother, William “Bill” Swartz, Jr.; and a sister, Erma.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Premier Hospice.

There are no services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
