Marionnette "Mary" (Bullock) Donaldson

Marionnette “Mary” Donaldson, 76, of Peru, entered the Lord’s presence at 4:00 A.M., Monday, August 21, 2023, at her residence, with her loving husband of nearly 52 years by her side. She was born in Peru, IN, on September 6, 1946, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Adams) Bullock. Mary married Mark Donaldson on September 3, 1971, and he survives. Mary was an active member of the Peru Grace Brethren Church and P.E.O. (the Philanthropic Educational Organization). A 1964 graduate of Peru High School, Mary received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, and served her entire career in the Peru Community Schools as an Elementary School Teacher, impacting numerous lives through her kind and gentle spirit, finally retiring in 2010 after 34 years of teaching. Surviving in addition to her husband, Mark, are her sons John David (Maribeth) Donaldson of O’Fallon, MO, Timothy Mark Donaldson of Peru, and James William (Elizabeth) Donaldson of Indianapolis; sister-in-law Lana Bullock of Peru, sisters Janet (Jim) Cattin of Bangor Maine, Jane (Tom) Hopewell of Noblesville and brother Jack Bullock of Bangor Maine; Grandchildren Colin Donaldson, Kelsey Donaldson, Colton Donaldson, Kamryn Donaldson, Anna Donaldson, Evelyn Donaldson and Reina Donaldson. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Bullock. Visitation will be on Friday August 25, 2023, from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M., at the Peru Grace Brethren Church, 430 S. Broadway, Peru. A service celebrating the life of Marionnette “Mary” Donaldson will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Peru Grace Brethren Church, with Pastor David Jodry and Pastor Tom Hopewell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN 46970 to the Riley Children’s Hospital Cancer Center.
