Lynn Carol Beach, 74, of Monticello, passed away at 4:46 PM, Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent, Carmel. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on April 27, 1952, the daughter of Jay and Delores Mertley Strikwerda. Lynn married Michael James Beach on August 22, 1970 and he survives.
Lynn was a 1969 graduate of Valparaiso High School and a former member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed boating and camping in her younger years. Lynn often listened to Elvis and collected little bulldog figurines. She enjoyed bowling for many years.
Above all else, family was the most important thing to Lynn. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She always made other people feel special and loved. Spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids gave her more joy than anything in life.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Michael Beach of Monticello; her mother Delores Strikwerda, children Toby Beach of Peru and his partner Devon Young, and Candace Beach of Peru and her partner Kevin McClure; grandchildren Heather Beach. Haley Beach, Hunter Garner, and Canyon Garner; four great-grandchildren, seven sisters, and one brother. She was preceded in death by her father Jay Strikwerda and a granddaughter Megan Beach.
