Linda Thompson Boys passed away in Indianapolis on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at the age of 70. Linda was born on September 28, 1949 to Robert and Edwina Myers Thompson of Peru. She graduated from Peru High School in 1967 and attended Purdue University, where she met her husband, Larry Verl Boys. They were married in 1969 and settled on Larry’s family dairy farm south of Peru. For the next 30 years, Linda worked with Larry to build and manage the farm while raising their daughter, Stephanie Kristen Boys, who was born in 1974. They traveled frequently, both here and abroad, and were active in the Indiana Farm Bureau. Linda and Larry moved to Indianapolis in 1999 after retiring.
Linda’s parents, Bob and Eddy, have passed away, but she is survived by Larry and Stephanie, Stephanie’s husband, Neil Backus, and three grandchildren, Mischa, Lumen, and Ilan, as well as two brothers, Bruce and Todd Thompson. Due to coronavirus concerns, a memorial service is planned for next summer, on August 31, 2021. Donations in Linda’s memory can be sent to the National Kidney Foundation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru.
