Laura Lee Golder, 61, of Peru, passed away at 7:56 A.M., Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Wabash Hospital, Wabash, IN. Laura was born in Peru, on September 1, 1962, the daughter of John W. and Beverly Jane (McCreary) Jaberg. She was married to Charles Golder and he preceded her in death on August 5, 1995.
Laura went to Lewis Cass High School, was a member of the Skinner Chapel and dearly loved God, family, friends and she adored her pets. Laura was an avid sports fan, especially IU, she spent her free time watching ballgames and could tell you everything about any team and the players. Laura loved to reminisce about the good old days and the people she grew up with. She was a kind hearted soul with a warrior’s spirit. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends that loved her tremendously.
Surviving is sister Brenda Zell of Galveston, IN and a brother Bryan (Lana) Jaberg of Peru, IN ; nephews Nicholas Jaberg, Christopher Jaberg and Brandon Zell and Step nephew Danny Thiry and Step niece Charity Brown; and treasured close friend Carol Justice.
A graveside service, celebrating the life of Laura Lee Golder will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru, with Pastor Roy Jones officiating. A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN 46970 to the Scratching Post Cat Rescue.
