Kirk W. Reynolds

Kirk Wayne Reynolds, 72, of Peru passed away at 3:40 AM, Monday, September 5, 2022 at his home with his husband Bill (William) Patton by his side. Kirk was born in Columbus, OH, August 20, 1950 the son of James and Phyllis Hipskind Reynolds who preceded him in death. Kirk graduated from Bloomington South High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree at Indiana University which then paved the way for his Masters Degree earned from Wayne State University. Kirk taught in the Kokomo and Peru Community School systems. He also enjoyed traveling, hiking and spending time with his family and friends, fine dining and his beloved cats: Maggie, Buddy, Sophie and Cooper. Kirk is survived through his close cousins Jill, Barb, JoAnn and Nancy; several in-laws including Ruth Patton and Carmen Riggle of Peru, Joleen and Chuck Hartisch of Peru, Linda and Bud Skinner of Missouri, Sharon and Paul Young of Utah, Sue and Mike Faiola of Utah, Ronnie and Ruby Patton of Peru, and Joe and Pam Casper of Utah. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Kirk W. Reynolds will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, September 9, 2022 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 W. 5th St., Peru with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 4-8 PM, Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru. A prayer service will be held at 8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Miami County Helping Hands.
