Kevin D. Trent, 65, of Peru, passed away at 2:40 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Aperion Care Peru. He was born in Peru, Indiana on December 20, 1959, the son of Glen Russell and Margie Mae Trent. Kevin attended Peru High School and graduated in 1978. He went on to have a successful career, working at Redwings, Marburger Foods, WRI, IMI, and ultimately retiring as a Water Treatment Manager in 2020. Kevin had a passion for cars of every make and model, he loved everything to do with them: car shows, building model cars, watching TV shows about classic cars, and he even owned a Green LTD. He also enjoyed spending his weekends being an avid colts fan, mowing, relaxing with his family, and enjoying an ice cold beer or two when the day was done. Kevin had a great taste in music, enjoying classic rock, old school rock n' roll, and good old Jimmy Buffet. He brought joy and laughter wherever he went and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Let us remember him for the joy and laughter he brought into our lives, and may he rest in peace. Kevin is survived by his daughter Daniella Trent of Peru, his son John Dillon Riggle of Peru; grandchildren Brooklyn Riggle and Joseph Riggle; and siblings Tom (Pam) Trent of Nyona Lake, and Nancy Sanders of Peru. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held December 20, 2025. Location and details will follow.
