Kathryn “Katy” Jean Kreutzer, 96, formerly of Peru, passed away Monday morning, October 13, 2025, at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers, Indiana. She was born in Peru, Indiana on April 19, 1929, the daughter of Frank and Jessie Flook Jones. Katy married Robert L. Kreutzer on November 8, 1946, and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2011. Katy was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and the Altar-Rosary Society. Her most treasured role was serving her family as a devoted wife to her husband, and a devoted mother to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kathryn is survived by her children Joyce (Bob) Buening of Indianapolis, Joan (Bill) Knaack of Peoria, AZ, Jan (Matt) Bowles of Indianapolis, and John (Jean) Kreutzer of Montgomery, TX; also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, and her siblings Frank Jones, Dean Jones, Don Jones, Margaret Mills, Mary Arnold, Martha Johnson, and Betty Yoars. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Kathryn Jean Kreutzer will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 W. 5th St. Peru, with Fr. Gustavo Lopez officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Miami County Helping Hands.
