Kathryn Lynn Briner, 73, of Peru passed away at 2:35 PM, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at The Waters of Wabash. She was born in Peru on September 1, 1949, the daughter of Slana and Mary (Butt) Miller. Kathy married David J. Briner on July 6, 1973, and he survives.
Kathy was a 1967 graduate of Peru High School and was a school bus driver for Peru Community Schools for 28 years. She was fond of all the kids she drove to and from school over the years. Dave and Kathy enjoyed traveling and camping, especially in Michigan. She was an avid mushroom hunter, adored horses and dogs, and loved spending time by her pond. Kathy was respected for her openness, frankness and her sense of humor, as well as her ability to make friends easily.
Surviving in addition to her husband Dave are her children Robin Carter of Lafayette, IN and Jay Briner of Peru; brother Tom Miller and his wife Susan; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bruce Miller.
A service celebrating the life of Kathryn Lynn Briner will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru with Pastor James Loft officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
