Kathleen M. (Ryan) Comerford

Kathleen M. Comerford, 91, of Peru passed away 8:40PM, Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru. She was born in Peru, IN, on March 29, 1931, the daughter of Robert J. and Grace Marie Grady Ryan. Kathleen married Jack K. Comerford at the St. Charles Catholic Church on February 16, 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1999. Kathleen was the Valedictorian of Peru High School Class of 1949 and attended Butler University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Her greatest joys in life were family and her Roman Catholic Faith where she was an active member of St. Charles, the Daughters of Isabella and the Altar and Rosary Society. Kathleen was also a member the Peru Art Club, Tri Kappa Sorority and an avid bridge player. She especially loved being at the lake in the U.P. with family, playing games, cooking and fishing. She is survived by sons Kevin (Robert) Comerford of Peru and Timothy (Lisa) Comerford of Peru, grandchildren Laura Hoffman, Patrick (Sydney) Comerford, Kyle Comerford, Amy (Jay) Marconi, James (Katie) Comerford, Danny Comerford, Joseph (Lindsey) Comerford and Grace (Alex) Bischoff; great-grandchildren Katie Hoffman, Turner Comerford, Tate Comerford Emilia Marconi and Declan Comerford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, a son Mark and brothers and sisters-in-law Robert (Marge) Ryan and Michael (Rita) Ryan. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Kathleen M. Comerford will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 W. 5th St., Peru, with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 5:00 to 8:00 P. M., Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main, St., Peru. There will be a Prayer Service at 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to the St. Charles Catholic Church or Miami County Helping Hands.
