Karen Rice, 76, of Peru passed away at 1:04 PM, Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Dukes Memorial Hospital. She was born in Chicago, IL on August 4, 1945 the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Murphy) Crain. Karen married Peter Rice on September 7, 1972 and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2018.

Karen graduated from North Manchester College earning a Bachelors of Science Degree. After graduation she went on to work for the US Government at the Uniformed Service University of Health Sciences as a Medical Library Technician.

Karen is survived by her sister Noel Crain of Bethesda, MD. In addition to her husband Peter, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Due to Karen’s wishes no service will be held at this time.
