Josephine "Connie" (Capello) Brindle

Josephine “Connie” Brindle, 94, of Peru passed away at 5:30 AM, Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Blair Ridge Health Campus. She was born in Peru on July 27, 1927 the daughter of Nicholas and Angeline Cacciante Capello. On June 26, 1948 Connie married Edward A. Brindle Sr. at St. Charles Catholic Church and he preceded her on March 25, 2011.

Connie was a 1945 graduate of Peru High School, a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and worked at Peru Tool and Engineering for many years. Her greatest joys in life were her family and grandchildren.

Connie is survived by daughter Lana Cummings and her husband John of Bloomington, IN; son Rick Brindle and his wife Clarissa of Peosta, IA; grandchildren Niki Cummings, Angela Himes, Angela Winnette, Craig Brindle, Nicholas Brindle, Jacob Brindle, Jessica Morris and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, a son Edward, Jr and siblings Phil, Nicholas, Joe, Jr, Mary, Annie, Rosie, and Liz.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements have been in entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St. Peru.
