Joseph A. Dunn Obituary

Joseph A. Dunn, 62, of Peru passed away at 2:49 PM, Friday, August 20, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Peru on October 20, 1958 the son of Norman and Marlene (Shrock) Dunn. Joseph married Toni Logsdon on May 22, 1982 and she survives.


Joe graduated from Maconaquah High School in 1978 and  was a member of Loree Brethren Church. He worked at Progressive Rail as a Teardown Operator. Joe very much enjoyed farming which he had begun at the age of 14 with his grandfather. Joseph loved going to classic car shows and spent his spare time riding with his wife on his motorcycle and participating in various rides and events.  He was also an avid Purdue fan and treasured going to his grand children’s sporting events.


Joe is survived in addition to his wife Toni by his sons Derek Dunn and his wife Crystal of Washington, IL and Travis Dunn and his wife Alexis of Peru; his grandchildren Maliyah, Kaden, Peyton, Raelynn and Aubrey Dunn; his parents Norman and Marlene Dunn, a sister Julie Dunn of Monticello, IN and brother Steve Dunn and his wife Beth of Peru.


A service celebrating the life of Joseph A. Dunn will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru with Pastor Steve Zerby  officiating. Family and friends will gather from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 PM Thursday, August 26 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.


In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to Loree Brethren Church.
