John R. Lease

John R. Lease, 60, of Peru, passed on Monday, January 22, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Peru, on May 18, 1963, the son of William and Dorothy (McCarthy) Lease. John graduated from Peru High School in 1981 and worked as a machinist. Always finding joy in the outdoors, John was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed mushroom hunting every year. John treasured his relationships with his friends and family, creating memories we all cherish. He is remembered fondly for his memorable character and integrity, among many other attributes. John is survived by his daughter Alanna Lease of Peru, his mother Dorothy Lease, his partner Tiffany Artrip and her children Emily Artrip and Andrew Artrip; a brother Paul (Tricia) Lease, nephew Blake Lease, and a sister Katherine Lease. He was preceded in death by his father William. Friends and family may visit Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home 84 W. Main St., Peru 46970 on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 3-5PM for a Memorial Service celebrating the life of John R. Lease.
