Obituary

Jimmy E. Bowman, 87, formerly of Miami County, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at Wellbrooke of Wabash. He was born in Somerset, IN on August 14, 1935, the son of Floyd and Doratha (Lawshe) Bowman. Jimmy married Ella Mae Drudge at the Wabash Methodist Church on October 15, 1977 and she preceded him in death on December 14, 2020. Jimmy was a graduate of Somerset High School. He enlisted in the US Navy where he served in Korean and Viet Nam Veteran before retireing after more than 20 years of service. he also drove trucks and was Forman at General Tire. Jimmy loved the outdoors, motorcycles and restoring tractors. He is survived by children Jeffrey E. (Linda) Bowman, Ted E. (Linda) Bowman and Angela D. Menski; step-children Richard (Renee) Day, Howard (Joyce) Day, Linda (Mark) Bristow and W. David (Kathy) Day and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Following his wishes, there will be no funeral services. Burial will be at a later date at the Marion National Cemetery.
