Jettie Kathern "Kathy" Phillips

Jettie Kathern “Kathy” Phillips, 68, passed away at 6:35 AM, Wednesday January 26, 2022 at her residence in Johnson City, TN. She was born in Pike County, KY, on November 19, 1953, the daughter of Carl and Nancy Justice Harris. Kathy married Danny Phillips on November 22, 1980 and he survives. Kathy had a heart for the elderly, and it show in the care she gave to all those she worked with in the nursing home as a CNA. She was a member of the Answer Baptist Church and treasured the time with her family and friends. Surviving in addition to her husband, Danny, are her sons Randy Thacker of MS and Micheal Thacker of TN.; grandchildren Gabriel Thacker and Isaac Thacker; two brothers and two sisters. She was preceded by a son, Curtis Barrett and four brothers. A graveside service, celebrating the life of Jettie “Kathy” Phillips will be held, at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Mount Hope Chapel, 411 N. Grant Street, Peru. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru.
