Janice K. Oaks, 64, of Peru, passed away at 3:47 P.M., Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. She was born in Peru on March 1, 1960, the daughter of James Oaks and Inis (Sizemore) Gilland. She was known as a kind and loving soul to all friends and family. Worked at several jobs throughout her career. A lifetime member of the VFM Women’s Auxiliary. Her favorite activities were shopping and vacationing. She passed away after fighting several illnesses. Surviving are her Life Partner Wayne Han of Peru, son Wayne Han II of Elwood and daughter Ashley (Han) Barouska of South Bend. Sisters Debra Brown and her husband Robert, and nephew Jason Oaks of Florida. Twin sister Judy Duvall and her husband Charles, niece Angie Legg, nephew Jordan and Jake Duvall of Arkansas. Sister Barbara Oaks, Life Partner Jesse Pearcy, niece Chassidy Davenport of Peru, nephew Jonathan Davenport, niece Mariah Johnson of Kokomo, and niece Lori Grigsby of Bunker Hill.
