Jane A. (Renbarger) Howay

Jane Alice Howay (Bunker Hill), revered as a pillar of strength, bravery, and positivity, passed away at 10:35am (11/21/2024) after a long illness. Jane was known for her warmth, generosity, and loving spirit she brought into the world. Jane will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Dean Howay his wife Jennifer and their three kids Zakk, Lilly, and Madeline, Brian Howay his wife Carol and their two kids Austin and Brooke, Patrick Howay his wife Courtney and their two kids Jack and Sam, her sister Donna Mooneyhan, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, along with many other loved ones throughout her life. Jane was cherished deeply by many. Among Jane’s most significant accomplishments was raising her three children and grandson Zakk, whom she held as her pride and joy. In the midst of challenges life brought her way, Jane never wavered in her compassion for others. She continued to support her family and friends extending a helping hand when she could. Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Cherishing time spent with family and friends over a meal and a good conversation and caring for her yorkie Chewie were of the utmost importance. Jane is preceded in death by her husband Neil Delos Howay, brother Jim Renbarger, and brother Bill Renbarger. Services celebrating the life of Jane Howay will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Amboy, IN, with Pastor Randy Smoot officiating. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery, Bunker Hill, IN. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 9th , at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
