James M Ferry

James M. Ferry, 59, of Peru, passed away at 4:00 P.M., Monday, May 30, 2022 at his residence.  He was born in Ft. Riley, KS on Sept. 22, 1962, the son of CSM Patrick James Ferry and Elisabeth Anita Ferry. 

Jim was a graduate of Carol High School in Ozark, AL and a former Gate Guard at Ft. Rucker, AL.  He was an avid outdoorsman and thoroughly enjoyed deep sea fishing.   

Jim is survived by his mother Elisabeth A. Ferry of Enterprise, AL, sisters Kathy Thompson and her husband Scott of Huston, TX, Diana Shiveley of Peru and brother Patrick James Ferry and his wife Sherry of Marshallville, GA. Nieces and nephews, Kristie (Justin) Morris, Tim (Racheal) Shiveley, Jennifer (Dustin) Suhr, Nicole (Dan) Barth, Christopher Griffin, Deidre (Ethan) Wall, Alexandra (Jason) Nichols, Derik (Summer) Ferry and Tyler (Jesene) Ferry and their families. Jim was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service celebrating the life of James M. Ferry will be held at  3:00 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Eikenberry- Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru with Pastor Roy Jones officiating.   Family and friends will gather from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
