Jackie “Jack” Green Bowman, age 78, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025. Born on June 27, 1947, Jack grew up in northern Indiana and graduated from North Miami High School. He spent many years working in a furniture factory in Peru, Indiana, where he took great pride in his work painting furniture. On April 30, 1983, Jack married Wilma-Jean. Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, his brother Sam Bowman, and his parents Dorothy and Cecil Bowman. He is survived by his son Brent Bowman; daughter Kolena Bethea (Marcus); grandchildren Silas and Chiara Bethea; and siblings Cecil Bowman (Vonda), Carrie Hartleroad, and Becky Hughes (Johnny). Jack had a deep love for singing and especially enjoyed singing hymns in church. Some of his favorite songs included In the Garden, How Great Thou Art, and Amazing Grace. He also loved playing euchre and working on crossword puzzles. Funeral services will be held at Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W Main St, Peru, Indiana, on Monday, July 21, 2025. Visitation will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by a brief service at 1:00 p.m. A procession to Chili Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
