Gregory A Mitting

 Loving husband, father, and brother, Gregory Mitting, 73, of Roann, IN passed away in his home at 11:30 pm on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Gregory was born June 12, 1949 in Wabash, IN the son of Robert and Doris (Dickson) Mitting. He grew up working in the family greenhouse before attending Valparaiso Technical Institute where he earned his Electronics Technology certificate in 1970.  He married Kathy Venoy on February 11th, 1977 and soon started a family. Together they opened a hobby shop, Kidsville, in Wabash which they operated for almost 30 years.  In addition they later also took over the family flower business, Mitting’s Flowers, that Gregory’s grandparents had started. He was an avid golfer, excellent chess opponent, and a champion ping pong player.

Gregory is survived by his 3 children, Scott (Avryana) Mitting of Phoenix, AZ, Kary (David) Martin of Auburn, IN, and Sara (Austin) Neidigh of Bloomfield, IN; 5 grandchildren, Kaylee Martin, Alyssa Martin, Molly Martin, Cooper Martin, and Jude Neidigh; 3 brothers Robert (Sue) Mitting, William Mitting, and Michael Mitting; 3 step siblings Susie Rohr, Melissa Showalter, and Steve Ford.  He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.  Gregory will be greatly missed.
