Obituary

Glenda Jean Dyer, 75, formerly of Brownfield, TX passed away at 5:58 AM, Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru, IN. She was born in Bennington, OK on February 9, 1948, the daughter of Travis and Lorene Wilkins Minyard. Glenda was married to James Dyer and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2006.

Glenda was a 1966 graduate of Brownfield High School and was retired from Terry County Texas Jail. A master gardener, she loved working in her yard and found great joy in caring for her flowers. A prolific sewer, Glenda was most comfortable with needle and thread in hand. As a farmer's wife she was a constant companion to her husband Jim in operating the family farm.

Surviving is her son Jimmy Dyer and his wife Shelly of Peru, IN; daughter Laurie Dyer of Brownfield TX; sister Helen Grimes of Snyder, TX; grandchildren Blake, Lawson, Dylan and Piercey and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service celebrating the life of Glenda Jean Dyer will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Jackson Cemetery in Bennington, OK with Pastor Jay Perry officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
