George William Wouster, 89, of Peru, passed away at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. He was born in Peru on December 10, 1934, the son of Frederick L. and Clara C (Aspinwall) Wouster. Geroge was formerly married to Joyce Ann Greek. George was a retired supervisor for Thrush Company, was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church and served in the United States Army. George was an avid sports fan of football and basketball especially Notre Dame and Pacers. He was a member of the Eagles, Maennerchor, Literary Aide, a life member of the American Legion and a former member of the K of C. Surviving is a daughter Lorene M. (Randie) Stone of Peru and siblings Frederick (Ethel) Wouster, Jr of Mexico, IN, Jefrey (Christy) Wouster of Peru and Mary Ziemer of Monon, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Brock P. Gallahan, brothers Howard, John, Jacob, Michael and Stephen, sister Jennifer Cunningham and his former wife Joyce Ann. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of George W. Wouster will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 23, 2024 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 W. 5th St., Peru with Fr. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 22nd, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru. There will be a Prayer Service follow the visitation at 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry- Eddy Funeral Home to St. Vincent DePaul.
