Gary B. Miller, 73, of Peru passed away at his residence at 6:48 AM, Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was born in Peru on January 1, 1947, the son of Chester C. and Mildred LaVaughn Walton Miller. Gary married Billie Kay Boone in Peru on July 9, 1968 and she survives.
Gary was a 1965 graduate of Peru High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired railroader and a builder of competition pulling tractors.
A man of great faith and integrity, Gary was an active member of Center Chapel Church. He was a devout Christian who’s faith guided his every endeavor. Family was very important to Gary and he was a devoted husband, father, grand-father and great grandfather.
Surviving in addition to his wife Billie are daughters Marianne (Thomas) McHenry of Peru, IN and Nita (Dustin) Newsom, Las Vegas, NV, A son Darrell (April) Miller of Denver, IN, a brother Richard (Debbie) Miller of Brickey, AR, a sister Sandra K. Barr of Peru, IN, grand children Ethan Miller, Madison Miller, Andre McMillen, Karlie Brock and great grandchildren Emerson Miller, Chandler Miller, Raleigh Miller, Sabastian Miller, Tristan McMillen, Ryley McMillen, and Jackson McMillen.
A service celebrating the life of Gary B. Miller will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Center Chapel Church, 5979 E. 500 N., Peru, IN with Pastor Randy Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Paw Paw Cemetery with military rites being provided by the Miami Military Rites Unit.
