Frederic E. Shrock, 86, of rural Miami County, passed away 4:04 A.M., Sunday, August 18, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Miami County on June 6, 1938, the son of Carl E. and Lois (Overman) Shrock. Fred married Anita Zehring at the Cassville United Methodist Church on Sept. 6, 1958 and she survives. Fred was a 1956 graduate of Clay Township High School and a US Army Veteran. His military decoration include the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Fred was a member of the McGrawsville Community Church and a retired dairy farmer. Surviving in addition to his wife Anita, are his sons Philip Shrock and his wife Julie of Peru and Timothy Shrock and his wife Tammy of Amboy; grandchildren Dustyn Shrock(Jennifer Cecil), Daryn (Hayden) Sturch, Koree Martin, Joe Shrock, Nathan (Melissa) Shrock and Abby Shrock and great-grandchildren Gavyn Fritz, Bryanne Sturch and Levi Shrock. He was preceded by his parents and a sister Myra Shrock. A service celebrating the life of Frederic E. Shrock will be held at 2:00 P.M, Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the McGrawsville Community Church with Pastor Ryan Ramsey and Pastor Kenny Cole officiating. Burial will be in the Park Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit. Family and friends will gather from Noon to 2:00 P.M., Thursday at the McGrawsville Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home to the McGrawsville Community Church.
