Florence M. Jones, MD, 75, of Peru, passed away at 1:30 P.M., Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Dukes Memorial Hospital. She was born in Peru on May 7, 1947, the daughter of Dr. Keith and Florence Rupp Jones. Florence married George “Sonny” Reibly on August 12, 1995 and he survives. Dr. Jones was a 1965 graduate of Peru High School and a 1972 graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. She was a former Medical Director of the Joyce Ely Med. Clinic of Rustin, FL. Florence was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church, the American Medical Assoc., the American Medical Women, Delta Gamma Sorority, Tri Kappa Sorority and former Sec. Treasurer of Alpha Epsilon Delta. Surviving in addition to her husband Sonny, is a brother Robert Jones and his wife Janny of Muncie, IN; step daughters Rebecca Lindzy and her husband Kenneth of Peru and Lisa Hegg and her husband Michael of Indianapolis; step grandchildren Brytton (Eric) Anderson, Victoria Lindzy, Shane Lindzy and Joseph Hegg; nephews Rob (Tracie) Jones and Russell (Cherie) Jones and great nieces and nephews Cade, Reagan, Corinne, Carson, Camy and Ella. A service celebrating the life of Dr. Florence M. Jones will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 13, 2022, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru with Rev. Gustavo Lopez officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from Noon to 2:00, Monday, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
