Ethel Pearl Wouster, 90, of Mexico, IN, passed away at 3:34 A.M., Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Rochester, IN, on December 30, 1934, the daughter of Paul and Dorothea (Cress) Smith. Ethel married Frederick J. Wouster on May 31, 1953 and he survives. Fred and Ethel celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary this past May. Ethel was a 1953 graduate of Jefferson Township High School and a homemaker. She valued most her domestic life with family and she was loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband, Fred, is a son Frederick “Pete” Wouster and his wife Elizabeth of Swayzee; daughters Clara Jean Miller of Mexico, IN, Kathy Montgomery and her husband Bruce of Kokomo, Christina Trott and her husband Stan of Mesa, AZ and Debbie Cunningham and her husband Gene of Peru; a sister Loretta Smith of Mexico, IN; grandchildren Charlene McClain, Lee Ann Stoffer, Chad Wouster, Curtis Cunningham, Sandra Cash, Nathan Linn, Dustyn Trott-Wouster, Cheynne Trott, Eric Trott, Madison Trott 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter also survive. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Sherry Wouster; a brother Richard Smith and a grandson Andrew Cunningham. A service celebrating the life of Ethel Pearl Wouster will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 12, 2025 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru with Rev. Kyle Neterer officiating. Burial will in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from Noon to 2:00 P.M., Friday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
